Boys & Girls Club of Rockford Receives Comcast Grant

The Boys & Girls Club of Rockford has been awarded a $25,000 grant from Comcast. which will be used to implement the My.Futures program at the B&G Clubs in our area.

The My.Futures program lets Boys & Girls Club members use computers, smartphones, and tablets to play, learn, and socialize. Members can share the things they’ve made with their peers at other Clubs across the country and around the globe, whether it’s making lyrics, videos or apps.  My.Futures members can earn digital recognition, including stars and badges and can stream recognition and projects through Club Digital Signage, the digital version of a bulletin board.

The Boys & Girls Club of Rockford has served the Rockford community since 1908 offering a unique and wide variety of educational, recreational, cultural and social activities for youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Clubs nurture and enrich young lives by giving boys and girls opportunities for personal growth and achievement. There are presently five sites in the Rockford / Machesney Park area.
